Why Learn?
We explore the need for people to learn in more detail and whether the motivation is different in each individual.
Are you in a rut?
A look at how easy it is to go with the crowd and become lazy in the way you approach learning. ‘I’m too busy!’ is a common excuse we tackle early in the day.
Learning Styles
Each participant completes a learning style questionnaire and we discuss what are the environments in which people can learn and those that suit them the most.
Feedback
We look at ways of providing effective feedback and allow the delegates to explore giving and receiving feedback in their groups.
Strengths and Development Areas
We ask people to identify their key strengths and development areas and examine feedback they may have had in the past. We also look at personal aspirations and talk about where they will be in the next 5 years.
Future Planning
We carry out a practical exercise where we ask people to graphically represent either their progress to date or where they see themselves in 2, to 5 years time
Personal Development Plan
We look at a number of different PDP models and use the session for each individual to work on their individual PDP. We gain commitment from the group to ‘sign up’ to at least one of them in the next 3 months.

Final wrap up and feedback to the group
Objectives
Each delegate will have gained a better understanding of their preferred learning styles, where they think they are now in their career and where they want to be. They will have put tangible action plans in place to achieve their goals.
