Reasons for change
We look at the most common reasons for change and typical approaches to it.
The change curve
We discuss the change curve that highlights people’s reaction to change to help the delegate anticipate where their team are in the change process.
Gaining Buy-in
How can the Manager gain buy in for the change and sustain it? In this session we provide some useful dos and don’ts to gain and keep commitment.
Communicating
We look at the importance of communication during a period of high change and examine successful communication strategies during this change.
Action Plan
In this exercise the delegates are given a case study which will enable them to create an action plan for dealing with change in their team.
Cultural Change
We look at what a Company’s culture means and how it can be changed over a period of time. We ask the delegates to define the existing culture in their company and how it might be influenced.
Assessing team capability
In this exercise the delegates look at the impact of change on their team from a skills perspective and are asked to put a 6 month strategy in place to identify and address any skills gaps.
Feedback
Final wrap up and feedback to the group.
Objectives
Each delegate will have some practical advice on how to support their teams through change, common behaviours to look for and the impact the change may have on their teams. They will also be able to put forward actions plans and short term strategies for dealing with the impact of change.
