We explore the different types of communication and the level of usefulness in given situations.
Communicating to Teams
Whether as a Line Manager or a Project Manager we look at different ways of communicating with your team and how we can motivate and encourage others as part of the process. This is considered with particular emphasis to virtual teams.
Body Language
80% of communication is non verbal. In this session we explore how you can read often hidden signs in others.
The Advert
This is a practical team exercise where the delegates get the opportunity to produce an information leaflet, advert or news letter based on information provided.
Listening Skills
We look at the importance of good listening skills as part of the art of communication.The delegates, through role play, get the opportunity to practice some of their skills.
Verbal Impact
The delegates get the opportunity to practice their verbal skills, tone, volume, and pace of delivery as an effective way of ensuring they are getting their message across.
Feedback
Final wrap up and feedback to the group.
Objectives
Each delegate will have gained a better understanding of the importance of communication, what type of communication to use and when. They will also be aware of some of the softer skills required to be an effective communicator.
