We look at different methods of assessing a candidate, testing, competency based interviewing and case studies.
Competencies
The delegates get the chance to create a set of competencies or measurements to use in the interview process.
Planning and Preparation
We look at dos and don’ts of planning for the interview.
The interview
We explore the interview itself including note taking, open and closed questions and closing the interview.
Practical Exercise
Using real job adverts the delegates get the opportunity to apply and interview for a number of job roles. Each delegate will also get the opportunity to observe and feedback to the group.
Feedback
Final wrap up and feedback to the group.
Objectives
Each delegate will be able to effectively prepare and lead an interview. They will have some useful tips on how to make the interview process more successful relying on some key measurements to make their decision. They will also learn about open and closed questions to enable them to extract more meaningful information.
